Forecasters are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Lidia, a newly formed storm in the Eastern Pacific which is forecast to become a hurricane by Sunday as it moves west.
As of 11 a.m. today, Lidia was located about 480 miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, packing maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and moving to the northwest at 8 mph.
According to forecasters, a northwest to north-northwest motion, as well as gradual strengthening will continue for the next several days.
